May great graces come this bishop's way.
Amen.
Yep. The homosexual community and liberals go into outrage mode over an incident such as this.
I dont know why, but the WH being decorated with f...t colors after the SC decision and tweeting “love wins” might have been one of the biggest signs of the beginning of the end if we dont turn things around but fast.
it was tacky, tasteless and disgusting.
I love my cat. I dont intend to marry him (he has no dowry).
libs distort the word love to mean whatever you want.
They distort morality to be whatever you “feel”.
no absolutes make it SO easy to take over because the individual doesn’t stand for anything anymore, except, maybe drugs, sex, getting free things or playing with gadgets.
Not things you build and defend a country for.
It’s sad.
Marriage is a religious sacrament. There is no same sex marriage in the Bible nor the Koran. Good to see the Church standing by the Bible.
I don't accept the premise. Neither does our Creator.
Wow. Sanity in an insane world. Good.
Cry me a river. The Catholic Church is opposed to gay marriage. They have a right to censor content in their newsletter. The gay lobby should just get over it.
Good for this archbishop!
...... Neither does any Madrasa or Imam in the country .... but then ..... that isn't newsy .... or politically correct enough for the media is it?
..... This country is being gamed and played very well by it's enemies ....
Hey, there’s some spine there.
good.
All the bishops have agreed to present a united front on homo-sex unions at this time. It’s not so much a “principled” position, but understanding that to appear disunified or hesitant weakens their overall strength, both inside and outside the Church during a time of fluctuations when they must look consistent. Considering Sartain’s past weakness on this issue (LCWR, homo priests) it’s nice to see him stand fast.
Why are people shocked when Catholics act......Catholic?
With all due respect to Catholics, they need to get themselves up to speed with passages like Romans 1:25-27 and 1 Corinthians 6:9-11.
In fact, regarding James Nau s argument about love, the Romans passage above indicates that same-sex sexual relationships are a consequence of idolatry, in other words breaking not only the the First Commandment, but also ignoring Jesus teaching of Matthew 22:37 to love G-d with your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.
So much for Mr. Nau s understanding of love.
Are Catholic schools not teaching these passages?
The gift that keeps on giving.
If I remember correctly, Sartain was the guy that was put in charge of investigating the lib nuns. I think his recommendations were ignored and watered down by the socialist pope, but not 100% sure...
In an open letter to the Archdiocese of Seattle, Nau quoted St. Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians — “if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it” and wrote:
“The policy which prohibits the public acknowledgment of (the) marriage stands behind a faith that you no doubt believe is right, but it does so at the cost of what is greater: Love.”
Paul also says, “If [one] part suffers, all the parts suffer with it” and “(Love) does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth.”
It’s a set up.
Lawsuit to follow in 3....2....1....
Why is this even a story, this is what should happen. It would be news if th schools behaved differently because they would be violating the church by doing so.
Homosexuality is a disorder, and pandering to those with it is not love.
The writing in this article is so slanted, you have to bend over to read it.
