It would be far more accurate to say that those people don't at all agree with the Catholic version of Christology...It's pretty clear those you refer to as vociferous are far closer to biblical Christology than the Catholic religion could ever hope to be...
Real Christology is derived from the scriptures, NOT Philosophy...
Based on the Barna posting from daniel1212 88% of catholics believe this.
So how do you interpret this verse???
Joh_3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Paul - 1 Corinthians 11:27-29 King James Version (KJV)The disciples did indeed discern the Lord's Body as he was standing there with them.27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
That pesky Paul.
He gave them the cup and the bread and they did eat and drink of it.
And followed His command and did it in remembrance of Him.
The same as millions of Christians do to this day.
Do you suppose He tore that bread from His own Body and therefore his followers ate literally His Flesh and drank His Blood?
Transubstantiation was made up centuries later, around 1551.
Jesus called the cup the 'fruit of the vine' so it is clear actual eating the literal body and drinking the literal blood of Jesus was not what He meant.
Do you believe the following from Church Fathers? I do not:
When the priest pronounces the tremendous works of Consecration, he reaches up into heavens, brings Christ down from His throne, and places Him upon our altar to be offered up again as the victim for the sins of man.
"It is a power greater than that of monarchs and emperors: it is greater than that of saints and angels, greater than that of Seraphim and Cherubim. Indeed it is greater even than the power of the Virgin Mary. For, while the Blessed Virgin was the human agency by which Christ became incarnate a single time, the priest brings Christ down from heaven, and renders Him present on our altar as the eternal Victim for the sins of man - not once but a thousand times! The priest speaks and lo! Christ the Eternal and Omnipotent God, bows His head in humble obedience to the priest's command....No wonder that the name which spiritual writers are especially found of applying to the priest is that of 'alter Christus.' For the priest is and should be another Christ" (Faith of Millions, John O'Brien, Ph.D., LL.D., 268-269, "nihil obstat" by Rev. T. E. Dillon-Censor Librorum and "imprimatur" by John Francis Noll, D.D. -Bishop of Fort Wayne).
Wow that is amazing, 9 times in a minute!
How many can you say it in a row?
De Montfort:
20. God the Holy Spirit, who does not produce any divine person, became fruitful through Mary whom he espoused. It was with her, in her and of her that he produced his masterpiece, God-made-man, and that he produces every day until the end of the world the members of the body of this adorable Head. For this reason the more he finds Mary his dear and inseparable spouse in a soul the more powerful and effective he becomes in producing Jesus Christ in that soul and that soul in Jesus Christ.
After 200-300, I start to slow down, but the heartfelt meaning of the prayer doesn't change at all.
No priest ever actually gave me more than 50 to do as a penance (I guess they have to walk a balance when they're doling out the penalties for sin - just in case I start doing, like armed robbery or something awful. And still, they couldn't let me off easy for the venial stuff. )
Do you have a personal best time?
The Latin Church is not in communion with the Orthodox Church, which is unfortunate. A major purpose for holding Vatican II was a desire to reconcile the various Christian faiths with each other.
Of course they are...pay closer attention.
True, they are in communion, but it is an imperfect communion; they are not fully incorporated in the same way that the 23 Eastern Catholic churches are.
From the Catechism:
837 “Fully incorporated into the society of the Church are those who, possessing the Spirit of Christ, accept all the means of salvation given to the Church together with her entire organization, and who - by the bonds constituted by the profession of faith, the sacraments, ecclesiastical government, and communion - are joined in the visible structure of the Church of Christ, who rules her through the Supreme Pontiff and the bishops. Even though incorporated into the Church, one who does not however persevere in charity is not saved. He remains indeed in the bosom of the Church, but ‘in body’ not ‘in heart.’”
838 “The Church knows that she is joined in many ways to the baptized who are honored by the name of Christian, but do not profess the Catholic faith in its entirety or have not preserved unity or communion under the successor of Peter.” Those “who believe in Christ and have been properly baptized are put in a certain, although imperfect, communion with the Catholic Church.” With the Orthodox Churches, this communion is so profound “that it lacks little to attain the fullness that would permit a common celebration of the Lord’s Eucharist.”
Mary merited NOTHING.
She did not earn it or deserve it any more than anyone else God used to accomplish His plan for redemption of the human race.
God’s plans are not thwarted and no human can do anything to either aid or hinder them.
God alone is sovereign and no human can change that.
People only interpret Scripture when they don't like what it says.
So if you're following an interpretation, then you are following a meaning that the passages don't say.
The rest of us just read what it says and go with that and believe it.
Not being contentious and just for the sake of conversation, how about when Abraham interceded for Sodom or Moses interceded for Israel?
What blasphemy.
I wish more people read it. I don't find many who do.
:D

Thus making Mary Deity in giving yourself to her with Jesus as your model.
The only one believers are to give themselves to is GOD.
You have just very effectively proved the point we have been making all along about Catholics relationship with Mary and how she's been made into a god(dess).
The Bible says that the HOLY SPIRIT distributes gifts to men and that grace comes through Jesus Christ.
What you posted is in direct contradiction to the God breathed, Holy Spirit inspired Word of God therefore, it’s wrong. I don’t care who wrote it and how flowery it sounds, if it doesn’t line up with the truth of Scripture, it’s a lie .
No kidding. Horrible.

I can't take the credit for what Saint Louis De Montfort has done.
It was written by https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_de_Montfort
