There is nothing wrong with worshiping as a group as long as the important tenants are preserved and that both the parishioners and the Priests, Pastors, Fathers, ... all recognize the fact that the leaders are teachers and nothing more.

I believe that the Sacraments are important for our salvation and help us do the will of God.
The Church is the Body of Christ and its members bound together doing God’s will are much stronger than we are as individuals.
I feel that working and praying with like minded (Christ-like) individuals makes us stronger. I have met too many evil persons that can led one into sinful behavior.

I have never heard a Catholic nun, priest, nor bishop describe themselves as other than a messenger or teacher.... they undergo YEARS of seminary or convent education to become what they are...you can't get a Catholic preachers title off the internet in 10 minutes like you can some other "Christian" leaders.
