So true. The church has been dead there for 20 or 30 years at least. This is the a manifestation of that.

Not sure why people are so surprised. Don't forget that these voters are largely either...
...(a) participated in a civil war vs. others based on religion & wound up wounding/killing others not involved in the fray;
...or (b) sanctioned said civil war -- either actively or by omission of an active distress opposing it...see Ezekiel 9, for example...
...or (c) are the sons, daughters, & grandkids of the (a) & (b) crowd who no doubt ran as far away as they could from such religious violence
