Joel Osteen, Oprah Winfrey...who can tell the difference.
Laz, hitting it one day at a time...
Not according to scripture. God drew a line in the sand.
"For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God; that no one should take advantage of and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also forewarned you and testified. For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness. Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who£ has also given us His Holy Spirit." 1 Thess 4:3-8
Did you catch that? Those who reject this command against sexual immorality have rejected God. We will all stumble in some form of sin, and hopefully repent and ask forgiveness as we do. This is different from continuing and sin and then approving and promoting the sin.
Why is this jackass so revered on this site? He’s a prosperity heathen and heretic. Try to find a crucifix anywhere in his “church.” Not sure why FreeRepublic highlights this fool’s pronouncements.
One is a heathen preaching crap and poisoning our culture and is also held in high esteem by the mindless . . . and the other is Doprah Winfrey.
No he didn't
GoSpiritGo's FR webpage shows he signed up on September 5, 2014. In other words, today.
to repost a thread from 2013
No he didn't
Here's the 2013 thread that GoSpiritGo just reposted.
wrongly attributing authorship to another FReeper (Sopater)?
No it isn't
The original thread shows the author as Peter Michael Martinez. This repost shows the author as Sopater. I think that constitutes wrongly attributing authorship.

He and Beck.....a bag o nuts
Alex - Laz is right here - he knows you're talking about him....
Don’t forget Hebrews 10:26:
“For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins”
Good observations.
When you post, the box asks "Author". The original thread lists Peter Michael Martinez. When this repost was posted, somebody listed Sopater as the "Author," because he/she shows up as the author.
I don't want to get an argument with you Laz, because you're one of my bestest buddies, and because it's your turn to buy lunch next time.
Osteen needs to drop the Christian label. But, of course he won’t because he needs to deceive well meaning followers that really do want to be Christians, and to provide a means for non-Christians to maintain a Christian façade.
He clearly is more in line with the Unitarian Universalists; at least the Unitarians have enough self respect to say who they are.
I just read Romans yesterday, fantastic letter filled with wonder.
Early in the letter Paul referred to an accusation that he (and his ministry brothers) were saying “Let us do evil that good may result!” He later, in the part you quoted, addressed it again.
Got me thinking. It’s clear from Paul’s letters, in toto, that he considers a works gospel no gospel at all. He preached grace, through faith...and that as a free gift! The slanderous accusation he denied emphatically, and yet it came.
I can think of many well known and respected preachers who teach, what is to me, a “gospel” of works that is cursed! They pay lip service to grace but they always get around to threatening salvation with law.
And...THEY WILL NEVER BE ACCUSED, AS PAUL WAS, OF SAYING “LET US DO EVIL THAT GOOD MAY RESULT”!
Hmmm.....
Yep...oozing phonies, too.
Osteen with that constant fence-post smile...sheesh.
You know you’re worthless when The Blower(Hinn) calls you out in public over your blasphemy
Repentance, salvation, turning away from your sins, is the center piece of Christian doctrine his sermons are devoid of the basics of Christianity.
If he has decided he knows better than the apostles and the New Testament he speaks with a forked tongue and is a false prophet. I watched one of his sermons and heard nothing of the Gospel and salvation just a lot of tickling of the ear. He sounded like he is off on this feel-good pseudo-psychological road trip for the all important self as your own god. All is skittles, unicorns and sunshine, do what you want all is acceptable to his god, just keep that $$$ rolling in and he will personally forgive you of your sins or you can just do that yourself...
There are many on tv these days. They seem to think money solves everything. I do not know what I would have done without God when I lost my daughter, brother, husband, bil and my mom in less that 3 years. God is truly the answer. God bless.
I listen in every once in a while. If you hear on of his presentations you’ve heard them all.
