That’s only one school of quantum mechanics [Copenhagen Interpretation.] There are others.The other major interpretation is the Many Worlds Hypothesis, which basically states that everything that can possibly happen, happens, in a new and separate universe. As crazy as that sounds it is something believed by many in the field.
