I think that has been the case from the very beginning.
Jews rejected Him because they didn’t understand.
Judas betrayed Him because he didn’t understand.
Disciples left Him because they didn’t understand.
None of that has changed. They didn’t understand because they didn’t believe and therefore didn’t trust.
Belief, and through belief trust. That is what faith is; belief that Jesus is the Son of God and trust that He will deliver all that He promised.
Abraham was praised for his belief.
