For Christians, yes. For Catholics, not so much.
Whoa, Alex, as a Bible believing Christian, I would expect a Bible answer.
St. Paul says in I Tim 3:15 that the Church (not the Bible) is the ground and pillar of the truth!
What you are taking as ‘church’ in 1Tim 3:15 is really “synogogue,” not the complete body of believers.
Not quite, but I can understand how the RCC would INTERPRET it that way:
1 Timothy 3:15 (kjv)But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
It appears that the Pillar and Ground of the Truth is the Living GOD.
He ALSO said, earlier in the chapter...
2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
So; how many Catholic bishops are MARRIED?
