I would convert to Catholicism, but, alas, I am divorced...

Paisan, are you saying that no one can become a Catholic if they have committed a sin or done something against the instructions of the Catholic Church? That doesn't sound factual to me (admittedly a non-Catholic). If that is so, then the list of who would be eligible to become Catholics must be short indeed.

NOthing wrong with divorced folks. They have to do the same as everyone else - go to first confession, do RCIA, etc.
