This is being sophomoric. This is a question for YOU. So that YOU know that Christ was telling the Truth either to the Jews of His day or to us today. But then again, all other Christian sects revel in “Christianity lite” and cannot absorb the full meaning of the teachings of the Church over 2000 years while the wild mushrooms around, tens of thousands of them, wither and die.

We don't understand your Catholic Church...We don't understand the Bible...We don't understand your Catechism...We don't understand Augustine...Yep, we're just a bunch of dummies...

But hey, you didn't answer my sophmoric question...Would those guys have come back had Jesus explained that he was talking spiritually and not physically???

Don’t try to speculate. Focus on the words of Christ and how he was understood correctly by the Jews to refer to His actual body and blood which they may eat and drink. They were horrified as they rightly understood that that was exactly what he meant. Surely, if they had misunderstood Him, Christ who is Truth would have immediately sought to dispel this misunderstanding. But there was nothing to clarify because He told them the truth and they understood Him correctly.
