Retire him to a monastery, in a monastery the have cells for the monks, then put a tight door on the cell door ala THE TWILIGHT ZONE episode with the trapped devil inside.

The title of this post is very deceiving. I made me think that Pope Francis snubbed Cardinal Law by violating a particular rule. In this case it refers to a Cardinal named Cardinal Bernard Francis Law of Boston who resigned from his leadership at Boston when it was learned that he failed to remove sexual predator priests from their pastoral posts in the archdiocese. Now, the pope is adding to Law’s disgrace by having him removed from his “honorary” position at the Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore, in Rome. This is a good action from Pope Francis.

The only misgivings is the report I heard that Pope Francis is a proponent for Social Justice. I would be curious what kind of Social Justice he is on board with.

If this is real, then why not just boot him out rather than move him inside?

Fire him, take his uniform, and send him out into the world as a normal man with whatever pension check is due him, sent to whatever address he finds in LA, or wherever he decides to settle.

It’s Bernard Cardinal Law. The “Cardinal” goes in the middle.

We’ll see in the coming days and months whether this is an accurate story or not. The website doesn’t seem all that reliable.
