In his address to his brother Cardinals, he even mentioned the devil. I love it that he's not afraid to talk about the devil!!
In the reception line afterwards, it was very touching to see how he interacted with the Cardinals. They will be replaying this on EWTN. If you didn't catch it this morning you may want to see it.

Have you ever noticed that the only word that liberals are afraid to utter, besides "God," is "hell"?
If they have to utter it at all, they often say, "H-E-double hockey sticks." I notice even self-described cynics doing this.
It seems that they don't want to be reminded of the reality of it.
For this reason, I use it as my cuss word of choice. I mean, if you can't take hell's name in vain, what can you? I encourage my kids to do the same.

I also noticed during EWTN’s commentary this morning after the meeting with the Cardinals, one of the panel members (I’m pretty sure it was Fr. De Souza), noted the fact that this Pope comes right out and mentions the devil without any hesitation.
The commentator seemed to think that the Holy Father will have to temper that somewhat, since talk of the devil disturbs some people. Of course, I’m only paraphrasing what he (Fr. De Souza) said.
But I think it’s great. The thought of giving in to the devil SHOULD disturb people!! I hope Pope Francis keeps up the good work, personally.
