Another view on "Take the name" is from an ambassadorship point.

You call yourself a Christian. Are you? Do you follow him and seek him constantly? Do you strive and yearn to be worthy of his namesake?

Or do you just take his name?

Isn’t the Baltimore Catechism from 1949, which is pre-VaticanII? Are these items still sanctioned as part of the current dogma?
