The Church of England narrowly voted against allowing women bishops last month - to the dismay of Williams and Prime Minister David Cameron - in a move its leaders said risked undermining its role as the established church in society with clerics in parliament's upper chamber.

It is long past time that the Church of England severed all ties with the British government.

A servant can not serve two masters. The Church of England can not faithfully serve the One True God and serve the secular government of Britain at the same time.

The bulk of The C of E’s income comes from the British Treasury it is therefore truly a servant of the government. The C of E is tasked to run a church that serves the purposes of government.

Consequently as the leaders of government became more and secular so did the church to the detriment of the church and its followers.

If the C of E is to be come once more the servant of God then it must break with the government and once more be the Sheppard of God’s flock on Earth and not the tool of ungodly men.

The C of E began its existence as a tool of government-directed social engineering. Its current state demonstrates its unbroken fidelity to its original purpose.
