Second, my current strongest distinction for dispensational teaching is that:
Israel = the unfaithful, whoring, divorced wife of God the Father.
The church = the unmarried, betrothed, Bride of Christ.

God didn’t divorce Israel, but he did “put her away”. If you understand the distinction in the OT between the two things, it’s an important difference that clarifies a lot of confusion.

Hosea says Yahweh divorced the House of Israel but not her sister the House of Judah. Jeremiah 31:31 speaks of the New Covenant to be made with the House of Israel and the House of Judah, where is the church? Jesus said He came only for the HOUSE OF ISRAEL... Traditional Christianity is missing some answers here.
