ATLANTA — Politics loomed large over the ceremonies held Monday, the federal holiday marking what would've been the 83rd birthday of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., as black clergy, elected officials and others tied King's legacy to the 2012 presidential election.
They urged African-Americans to re-elect President Barack Obama, and condemned voter identification laws they warned are meant to suppress black voter turnout in November....

I would say voting is more important so having an ID is 1000% more needed for voting.

At Target you have to show your identification to buy anti-histamines. In fact it may be a law for all of California. The bottom line is that you can't make crystal meth in your garage without an ID.
Like the blacks are going to vote for any Repub.
These days, any event that claims to honor MLK promotes the exact opposite of what King dreamed.
