Grace alone produces works, which leads to explicit faith.

Where do we find this recipe for salvation??

Here is mine

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Rom 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Philippians 2:13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

Ephesians 2:10 10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

And the good works we are to walk in when we are saved are also laid out for us to do by God who gives us the desire and ability to do them.

Saving faith is living faith that produces good works and the fruit of the Spirit.

Intellectual assent, to which works are added to try to earn salvation don't cut it. because the trust is in one's own ability to be righteous and we are not.

Only when one realizes that within us dwells NO GOOD THING, can we turn to Christ in repentance and ask forgiveness and be saved. Then the Holy Spirit dwells within us, giving us a new nature and we are clothed in the righteousness of CHRIST, not our own so that no one has anything to boast about before God.

I, me mine. Salvation is formulaic to the Protestant; it is legalistic and we have just recently found out the Good News that God is legally bound to save those who declare their own salvation.

I see that Paul is once again the Messiah and the One whom Jesus foretold while He was labouring in the wilderness.
