Although from the look of things we could be in the end times. Instead of studying it I rather hang with a chum and a bottle of Rum. As I await the end. However it could just be the New Improved Dark Ages.

One thing I always figured about the Rapture was to make sure to wear clean underpants.

My question is for Mormons, how do the magic underpants fit into the scenario?

Are they perpetually clean? Does the magic fade if the underpants are dirty?

Only Thing I Have To Know To Understand End Times Prophecy-Professionals:

Are we any better people than they were? I doubt it. ‘Tis my considered opinion that, just as the Jewish Pharisees and Saducees and priests and scribes couldn’t recognize Jesus-Messiah way back when, so our prophecy-interpreting religious omen-diviners won’t have a ghost of a clue if he returns during their time.

I used to spend a lot of time and energy trying to follow end times teachings. After a while and a lot of wasted effort, I came to the conclusion that God was in control, I had little to no influence over events, and that if I simply lived my life like this day was the only day that I had left to bring God’s light into this dark world, I would be just fine.

It is an interesting topic of study. But like everything else, don’t spend so much time worrying about it that you forget to live as you should, today.

What I think it is saying is that you must know the Beginning to understand the end...

If you are starting in the Middle, the end will just confuse you...

Some people did recognize Him, so what makes you think you know who will know what the next time?

And remember, if you have pets there are atheist businesses who will care for them until the end of their lives should you be taken up.

Oh, except the wasted effort part. You probably got something out of it, I know I did. It made me read my Bible and it brought me closer to Him.

Yawn

But the Abomination can’t happen until there’s a Temple.

Happened in 70 AD

Peter Declares That Jesus Is the Messiah.........

When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?”

They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”

“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”

Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.

And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades[c] will not overcome it.

I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Then he ordered his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Messiah.

MATTHEW 16

The effort that was wasted was my vain attempt to control my life by “reading the tea leaves” if you will. It was a waste in that I did not take advantage of the time I was given to do the things I was given to do. Rather I spent the time looking to gain some control over things that rightfully belonged to God.

My approach has always been thus:

The endtimes is like the coming of the Messiah. There are prophecies for that scattered all over the Bible, but until he actually came, who recognized them? Very few. I go back over Isaiah 53 now and can see it, but hindsight is much clearer than foresight.

IMHO the endtimes prophecies are much the same. As they happen, people will look back, see they have been predicted, and it will build their faith.

Q: Why do the Jews almost always support liberal and ungodly ways? Why do they always vote in lock-step with Democrats?

A: Lest you be wise in your own conceits, I want you to understand this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.(Romans 11:25)
