What is there to discuss, the Church has made itself clear on these issues.

Good for the Roman Catholic Church.

All these non-Catholic Catholics (maybe even non-Christian Catholics) can come to my denomination, the Presbyterian Church (USA). You don’t gotta believe nuthin to be in my church! Why heck, we make it up as we go.

(It’s a long story why I’m still in the PC (USA)...)

You mean the Church isn't progressive enough to have the people tell the theologians what's right?

Semantics.

It isn’t THEIR CHURCH. It is Christ’s church and he’s spoken already.

Christ reigns - you worship and obey.

That’s the order of things.

Correction: It is the Liberal Catholics who are not listening to the Holy Spirit teaching through the Catholic Church. If they do not believe that the Holy Spirit does indeed preserve Church teaching from error then they should admit that they are not Catholics and leave us in peace.

I had a theology professor who was a very liberal “Catholic”. She holds a Master’s Degree in theology.

She believed women should be ordained.
She believed all priests should be allowed to marry.
She believed that the Eucharist should be open to all comers, regardless of their beliefs.
She believed that the Eucharist was nothing more than a community meal, no different than a regular meal.
She believed that she could and would be a better priest than any priest she knew.

I was a thorn in her side in that class to say the least.

Near the end, I asked her why she didn’t leave the Catholic church for the Episcopalians.

Her answer....”I love the Catholic Church”

These people are delusional.

The Catholic Church listens to God, not Joan Chittister.
