Right, they are devaluing the US dollar. Everybody knows that. Canadians are far more aware of the exchange rate than most Americans, trust me on this. When was the last time you saw the CDN$/US$ exchange rate in your local newspaper? It is in virtually every Canadian newspaper every day. Very few Canadians are unaware of the value of their currency vs. the US$.
You still haven't explained why Canada wants to yoke itself to a stupid monetary policy like the one being pursued in Washington.
