The Catholic and Orthodox Churches have internalized liberal Protestant higher criticism and convinced themselves they thought of it first--ironically, in order to insulate themselves against Fundamentalist Protestantism. They fail to realize that what they are doing--ascribing error and falsehood to A-mighty G-d--is a blasphemy of the highest order.
