Jesus' Sufferings

During the last days of the carnival, when I was making a Holy Hour, I saw how the Lord Jesus suffered as He was being scourged. Oh, such an inconceivable agony! How terribly Jesus suffered during the scourging! O poor sinners, on the day of judgment how will you face the Jesus whom you are now torturing so cruelly? His blood flowed to the ground, and in some places His flesh started to fall off. I saw a few bare bones on His back. The meek Jesus moaned softly and sighed. (188)
Jesus told me that I please Him best by meditating on His sorrowful Passion, and by such meditation much light falls upon my soul. He who wants to learn true humility should reflect upon the Passion of Jesus. When I meditate upon the Passion of Jesus, I get a clear understanding of many things I could not comprehend before. I want to resemble You, O Jesus, - You crucified, tortured and humiliated. ..... O eternal and infinite God, what has love done to You? (267)
There is more merit to one hour of meditation on My sorrowful Passion than there is to a whole year of flagellation that draws blood; the contemplation of My painful wounds is of great profit to you, and it brings Me great joy. (369)
When I become immersed in the Lord's Passion, I often see the Lord Jesus, during adoration, in this manner: after the scourging, the torturers took the Lord and stripped Him of His own garment, which had already adhered to the wounds; as they took it off, His wounds reopened; then they threw a dirty and tattered scarlet cloak over the fresh wounds of the Lord. The cloak, in some places, barely reached His knees. They made Him sit on a piece of beam. And then they wove a crown of thorns, which they put on His sacred head. They put a reed in His hand and made fun of Him, bowing to Him as to a king. Some spat in His face, while others took the reed and struck Him on the head with it. Others caused him pain by slapping Him; still others covered His face and struck Him with their fists. Jesus bore all this with meekness. Who can comprehend Him - comprehend His suffering? Jesus' eyes were downcast. I sensed what was happening in the most sweet Heart of Jesus at that time. Let every soul reflect on what Jesus was suffering at that moment. They tried to outdo each other in insulting the Lord. I reflected: Where does such malice in man come from? It is caused by sin. Love and sin have met. (408)
At eight o'clock I was seized with such violent pains that I had to go to bed at once. I was convulsed with pain for three hours..... No medicine had any effect on me, and whatever I swallowed I threw up. At times, the pain caused me to lose consciousness. Jesus had me realise that in this way I took part in His Agony in the garden....(1276)

Oh, how painful it is to Me that souls so seldom unite themselves to Me in Holy Communion. I wait for souls, and they are indifferent toward Me. I love them tenderly and sincerely, and they distrust Me. I want to lavish My graces on them, and they do not want to accept them. They treat Me as a dead object, whereas My Heart is full of love and mercy. In order that you may know at least some of My pain, imagine the most tender of mothers who has great love for her children, while those children spurn her love. Consider her pain. No one is in a position to console her. This is but a feeble image and likeness of My love. (1447)

I spent this whole night with Jesus in the dark dungeon....all night long I could not fall asleep, so I spent the night in the dark prison with Jesus. Jesus gave me to know the sufferings He experienced there. The world will learn about them on the day of judgment. (1515)

My mother loved the 12 stations of the cross. Now I know why she was so close to God in Prayers answered. When we honor Jesus for what he truly did for us. Now I know why the supernatural happens since my prayers of Divine Mercy.

"For the sake of His sorrrowful passion"

Salvation you are opening my eyes so much with this beautiful series. Thanks!

Praise Jesus and Hail Mary!!! AMEN!!!

One of the ladies at church complained because she always led the Rosary on Tuesdays for the Sorrowful Mysteries.

When I told her that I loved the Sorrowful Mysteries she kind of looked at me like I was nuts.

Then she shared later that she had spent the hour in Adoration concentrating (I think she did a Scriptural Rosary) on the Sorrowful Mysteries. She said she actually could identify with Christ.

It changed her mind about the Sorrowful Mysteries, that’s for sure!
