Featured Term (selected at random):
The duty of parents to instruct their children in the faith, a grave obligation. It follows from the responsibility that parents assume when they bring children into the world. Once conceived and born, the children have a right to adequate knowledge of the means of salvation.
Discussion for today — Are Catholic parents doing their best in instructing their children in the faith?
I wonder, because of all the people who seem to be leaving the Catholic Church.
Did THEIR parents fail in this grave obligation?
**Did THEIR parents fail in this grave obligation?**
In other words, the child’s grandparents. Did the grandparents fail in educating the parents and so the parents are now failing in educating the children?
Even though they made this promise in their Catholic wedding!!!!!
On the flip side/other hand —
Are parents doing a better job of educating their children in the faith — thus we have more vocations to the priesthood and religious life?
