VATICAN (LifeSiteNews.com) – In his traditional Christmas greeting to Vatican officials this morning, the Pope drew a link between the times of the fall of the Roman Empire and our own times, arguing that “the future of the world is at stake.”

Describing the decline of the Roman Empire he said, “The disintegration of the key principles of law and of the fundamental moral attitudes underpinning them burst open the dams which until that time had protected peaceful coexistence among peoples.

“The sun was setting over an entire world,” he continued. “Frequent natural disasters further increased this sense of insecurity. There was no power in sight that could put a stop to this decline.”

Comparing those times to our own he said: “For all its new hopes and possibilities, our world is at the same time troubled by the sense that moral consensus is collapsing, consensus without which juridical and political structures cannot function. Consequently, the forces mobilized for the defense of such structures seem doomed to failure.”

The pope tied the priestly sexual abuse crisis, which he referred to as “the great tribulations to which we have been exposed during the past year,” into the overall theme of the talk.

He began by pointing out that the past year had been designated the “Year of the Priests.” “We were all the more dismayed, then, when in this year of all years and to a degree we could not have imagined, we came to know of abuse of minors committed by priests who twist the sacrament into its antithesis and, under the.............

Each and every priest, pastor, minister to purports who be Christian should be shouting this from their pulpits every week and expounding on it every day everywhere...and those who use their offices as an avenue to prey upon children MUST needs be routed out and turned over. Otherwise, it goes on - as it has for decades.

Actions must accompany words.

What an interesting metaphor.

His Holiness is merely stating the obvious. I'm sure he is aware of this. The truth is right there before us for all to see. Those who do not see it do not want to se it.

Western Civilization is in an advanced state of decay--decline--decadence.

In America, this decadence is embodied in The Left and the Democrat Party.

Its enablers are Leftist politicians, celebrities, university professors, so-called "journalists" of the mainstream newsmedia, and other "Leftists"/"Liberals"/"Progressives" (or whatever they call themselves du jour).

George Orwell saw it all coming.

There are many power-hungry sociopaths and other undesirables salivating over the possibility of establishing themselves as a neo-Caesar, neo-Caligula, neo-Nero to reign over the remains of the greatest, richest, and most powerful nation the world has ever known. Imagine Caligula in complete control of the U.S. nuclear arsenal. And in complete control of the American people--armed with the facilities of the Information Age.

If the American people do not wake up fast, recognize this decadence for what it is, and re-establish ascendancy in the United States, the U.S.A. will fall. The result will be more horrifying than most people can imagine.

The American people had better wake up--and fast! The fate of their children is at stake.

You know, this address isn’t about the priest abuse scandal, even if it is made mention of.

Wake up and do what, preacher-man? Apparently there are obvious things that you don't want to see.

The homos did their best to ruin the Catholic church and are now hard at work on the US military, thanks to the supporting cast of the Democratic party and Obama. The church will prevail forever but other institutions are in grave danger.

"There was no power in sight that could put a stop to this decline.”

There is a power today that can put a stop to it: the American people--IF THEY WILL!

The people who carved the greatest, richest, most powerful, and most just nation the world has ever known out of raw wilderness, who brought air travel and space travel to the world, who conquered polio, who placed a man on the moon, and who simultaneously defeated both Adolf Hitler and his Nazi war machine and the Japanese Empire can put a stop to it--IF THEY WILL!

The American people are the last, best hope for this dangerous world!

But they must face truth and reality! Awaken from their lethargy! Reject the voices of decadence that bombard them relentlessly day and night! Seize the day! Reject self-indulgence! Reject mendacity! Destroy the decadence! And re-establish ascendancy in America!

If the American people do this, they will save the world yet again!

They must!

God is with them--if they will only rally on the side of the angels!

I believe the Holy Father invoked apocalyptic metaphors for a reason. The world as we’ve known it is passing away. Better recalibrate.

And what are the obvious things that I don’t want to see? I don’t think I’m refusing to see anything. No matter how horrifying the truth may be, nothing is to be gained by not acknowledging it, and there’s a chance of taking meaningful action if one does.

The OP (Original Post)

sounds much like

a fairly . . . gentle cautionary commentary

on a rough outline of a significant part

of the satanic globalist script for the next several years.

The Future of the World is at Stake!

And yet, what is the pope doing about it? Giving a veiled speech on Christmas, with no details on the foundations of the problems, nor any details on solutions. By comparison, read what Pius IX, and Leo XIII had to say about the world's problems and their solutions. All detailed in every word.

The world did not listen then, but that should not stop the post Vatican II popes from teaching the truth and leading today.

The post Vatican II popes are a punishment from God upon a world that will not listen, even if their relatives were sent back from the dead to tell them the truth! The world (and practically 99% of Catholics) wanted popes that did not "push religion" on them. AND that's what they got!

That is why for 50+ years all you get from popes is "popes doing nothing about it, just giving a veiled speech on Christmas, with no details on the foundations of the problems, nor any details on solutions".

Catholics get the priests that they pray for. The people wanted priests that let them live as they wanted. That's what they got!

Without good Catholics, the world crumbles. I doubt that 1% of Catholics would be considered good Catholics in say 1890. Of the few Catholics that go to mass every Sunday (+-5% in Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Brazil), scarcely any go to confession (they live in a state of mortal sin).

Without good Catholics, the world crumbles. The world has disintegrated morally, because there are scarcely any good Catholics.

Excerpt taken from the February 2003 issue of Catholic Family News, MPO Box 743, Niagara Falls, NY 14302:

"Why God would allow these "ambiguities" to occur in Vatican II. (and other magisterial documents)

Considering all that I have said thus far, especially concerning the ulterior motives of the liberal prelates and their virtual hijacking of Vatican II, I think Scripture has an answer as to why God would allow these "ambiguities" to occur. In short, there is an interesting working principle in Scripture. As a punishment for your sin, God will allow you to pursue, and be condemned by, what you sinfully desire. This is what I believe happened at Vatican II. The progressivist bishops and theologians sought for a way to push their heterodox ideas into the Church, so God allowed them to do so, as a witness and judgment against them. He would allow the Council to have its "ambiguities" so that those who would interpret them contrary to nineteen centuries of established Catholic dogma, would lead themselves into sin, and ultimately into God's judgment. Unfortunately, as is always the case, the sheep suffer for what the shepherds do wrong, and as a result, we have all been wandering in the spiritual desert of liberal theology for the past 40 years. (4)

4) In fact, the bad shepherds may be a chastisement for the sins of the sheep. Saint John Eudes, basing his words on Sacred Scripture, says that when God wants to punish his people, he sends them bad priests. See The Priest, His Dignity and Obligations, by Saint John Eudes, Chapter 2, "Qualities of a Holy Priest". (New York: P.J. Kenedy and Sons, 1947)."

----------------------------------

Vatican II contains within itself a punishment from God. It contains a snare, a siren song, to RUN AWAY FROM!

the common believer should not seek any answers about the Faith from Vatican II or from any modern theologian that utilizes it.
