Any idea how many priests and levites would be necessary, all with ritual cleansing and clothing needs? Mountains of wood. Silos of incense. Stockyards and veterinarians. Plumbing facilities for a slaughterhouse. A chamber of stone for judges. A civil war with secular Jews. Agreement among rabbinic authorities.

Manufacturing museum-quality pieces for tourists and fund-raising isn’t the real deal.
