Sola scriptura is an anti-scriptural heresy; Scriture and Tradition together, in the context of a Church Christ built and to which He gave authority in Heaven and on earth, to lose and to bind, against which the gates of hell would never prevail, that is eminently scriptural.
And I'll take the Word of that Church over these sola scriptura heretics any day.

I’ll just leave you with this. Since you are presumably a man of science according to your chosen FR title, you know how so often the devil is in the details. “That’s why ...” I’ve always been leery of what follows statements that begin with, “That’s why ...” Deduction upon deduction upon deduction often ends up in a place no one really expected or intended to go.
I have no confidence in your deductions upon deductions. The heart, mind, and motives of man are never to be trusted, only the heart, mind, and motives of the Son of Man and Son of God. I have His words in the Holy Scriptures while at the same time I see the words of the church you claim handed down His truth to us. The plain sense of the two sets of words often differ. Somewhere in the details of those differences lies the devil, who doesn’t even need an address to find his prey.

I agree. And the devil is here in the details as well. I will choose to err on the side of generosity in my assumptions of just who is and who isn’t part of the “body of Christ.” And for that, I have awfully solid substantiation from OT and NT. But I think you know that.
