Featured Term (selected at random):

APOCALYPSE

The Book of Revelation, commonly attributed to St. John the Apostle. It was written to encourage the persecuted Christians be foretelling the fall of Rome and the final victory of Christ and his church. It is also a prophetical work, describing in anticipation the many trials of the followers of Christ and their eventual triumph over Satan and the forces of Antichrist. It is also eschatological, in predicting the glories of the Heavenly Jerusalem in the City on High. The Apocalypse is the most image-laden book of the New Testament, rich in allegory, and subject to numerous, legitimate interpretations. (Etym. Latin apocalypsis, a disclosing, revelation; Greek apokalypsis, a revelation.)

Many people seem not to like the Book of Revelation. I have no problem with it at all.

Anyone else?

“Many people seem not to like the Book of Revelation. I have no problem with it at all. “

No problem here either.

It is the ONLY book in the Bible that offers a blessing for those that read it.

Rev.1:3

[3] Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Read it!

I have led a Scripture Study on it too. I don’t think Catholics take it as seriously as Protestants do, though.

The Book of Revelation is a must read for all who wish to understand the conclusions of Genesis thru the Gospels. The symbolism is fully understood if you first read Genesis thru Malachi... for all prophecy and symbols are started in the OT and come to final fulfillment in Revelation. I have a excellent commentary book which outlines all the OT scripture and maps them to events within Revelation. The Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ further adds prophecy, signs, events, etc, that illuminate events to be fulfilled in Revelation. Let me know if you would like to acquire the same book I have, or I can simply send you a list of all the OT scriptures that map perfectly to fulfillments in Revelation.
