Rosary Icon

"The Rosary is the glory of the Roman Church. As an exercise of Christian piety, it takes its place among the faithful after the Mass and the Sacraments." -Pope John XXIII

"Would you like me to tell you a 'secret'? It is simple, and after all, is no secret: 'Pray, pray much. Say the Rosary everyday.'"
-Pope John Paul II

"The Rosary is a powerful weapon to put the demons to flight and to keep oneself from sin ... It not only serves admirably to overcome the enemies of God and of religion, but it is also a stimulus and an encouragement to the practice of the evangelical virtues, which it develops and cultivates in our souls. Above all, it nourishes our Catholic Faith ... If you desire peace in your hearts, in your homes, and in your country, assemble each evening to recite the Rosary. Let not even one day pass without saying it, no matter how burdened you may be with many cares and labors."
-Pope Pius XI

True, and this is also Star Wars Day. “May the fourth be with you.”

Seriously, I say the rosary every morning. I listen to it on my iPhone and look at this artwork.

It’s one of the only ways out of this mess we are in (the others being Mass, Confession, Adoration, etc.) ... thanks for the link ... that’s a nice site.

Do you remember the Catholic comic books that would explain Virgin Mary or the Saints. My mother would have those around, I found one a couple of years ago. I do not know where it is now. I hope I can find it brings back so many memories. You know what is amazing about the Virgin Mary is her relationship with St John the Apostle. In all the four Gospels only Matthew and Mark mention the birth of Christ. Yet The Gospel of John reads “ 1.14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father.” Now thats his commentary for the birth of Christ a majestic poetry of love. You can see this was the man who knew Christ better than the others even in there views as Apostles. And that he would be so close to Christ that he would take care of Mary. Theres alot thats implicit in their relationship not as explicit in the Gospels.
