What is your personal stake in this and how does this now or has it in the past personally affected you?

Really? I’m glad there is at least one honest person in this room.

You are the one that uses your military rank as a nick. And I’ll take the risk of my reputation of being damaged, don’t be concerned.

Please keep it up, you are really showing everyone the fool that you are. Liberals call names, intelligent people argue their points.

But please, do keep bringing up my military service. I can always use the threads to refer back to when illustrating to others your attacking my service due to your weak position.

Son, let’s put it this way:

1.) There is no such place as galaticia.
2.) I have no idea who “they” are
3.) Paul went to Jerusalem to meet Peter to extend his credentials.
4.) Paul happened to meet James, the Bishop of Jerusalem, in a casual or offhand manner.

Paul went away satisfied that he was accepted as an Apostle of Christ.

Nobody blames the victims no more than people such as yourself should blame me for being a life long catholic and loving my church. But people such as you forgot the golden rule of forgiving and forgetting.

Who is this ‘jc’? Who is this ‘james’ that is the brother ‘jc’? My point is that Paul defers to Peter since Peter is the leader of the Apostles - the steward of the Church awaiting the return of Jesus.

And by the way FU is totally unbecoming of a NonCommissioned Officer or so you say.

Forgive and forget the raping of tens of thousands of innocent children around the world? No, not me, not a single one of them. They all should burn in hell with their Cardinal and Pope enablers.

From that comment I can tell that you were obviously in the boy scouts and not the military.

But good try at trying to change the focus of the discussion away from your uncomfortable revelation that my family member was abused.

I’ll be glad to forgive and forget as long as the offending priests are sitting in jail for the crimes they’ve committed.

This is not just a homosexual abuse scandal. It is first and foremost a pederast abuse scandal.

It's not just a homosexual abuse scandal, it's a CRIME!

P.S. You forgot to include all your protestant brethren in your wishes of hell.

My take on this "sure we are, but you are too" backing and forthing is a facade to keep people from asking the more serious question. That is, the Roman Catholic Church has always put herself in the forefront as the "only, true" church of Jesus Christ. All other "self-professed" Christians who are not official members of the Catholic Church are looked down upon as either heretics, brethren outside of communion with Rome, ignorant of truth or damned to hell for rejecting the "true" church. We see it EVERY time there is a discussion on the Religion Forum and disagreement with Catholic teaching is automatically labeled "anti-Catholic hatred and bigotry".

I am glad to see that the Vatican is doing it's mea culpas, it is past time and possibly the reason there has been so much more strident criticism against it lately. It certainly looks bad, however, to me, that the defenders have to also include pointing the finger at all other areas - as if we didn't already know that such crimes have always been around.

Jesus said, "To whom much is given, much shall be required." Luke 12:48. If you set yourself up above all others - and I do not believe the Roman Catholic Church is the one and only face of Christianity - then you also must take the blame if you want the glory.

Crimes against children as well as any other sin committed by those who are in positions of authority over fellow believers should be dealt with severely and the position of authority taken away from the one who takes advantage of their position. It is supposed to be a sacred trust to be a leader in the church and God expects an even higher level of good example by these people.

Realistically I am totally not impressed by your low rank. I agree your military service has nothing to do with your total hatred of all religions because no one is innocent, protestant or catholic when it comes to these matters.
