HOMOSEXUALITY

In general, some form of sexual relationship among members of the same sex. From a moral standpoint, three levels are to be distinguished: tendency, attraction, and activity. Homosexual tendencies in any person are within the normal range of human nature, whose fallen condition includes every conceivable kind [of] impulse that with sincere effort and divine grace can be controlled. Sexual attraction for members of the same sex may be partly due to the peculiar make-up of certain individuals or, more often, the result of indiscretion or seduction and presents a graver problem; yet this, too, is not by itself sinful and may in fact be an occasion for great supernatural merit. When the condition is pathological, it requires therapy. Active homosexuality is morally indefensible and has been many times forbidden in revelation and the teaching of the Church. The most extensive declaration on the subject was the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, approved by Pope Paul VI on November 7, 1975.

A term for homosexuality among male, derived from its frequent practice among the men of ancient Greece. Also called pederasty, especially when one of the participants is a boy.

In order for the Catholic Chgurch to regain its credibility it needs to do the following: get rid of homosexual and pedophile priests, allow priests to marry if they wish but rid it of all homosexual priests, no exceptions. Homosexuality cannot be reconciled with the teachings of the church anyway so any such priests need to go NOW and if they are not willing to go voluntarily, they should be fired.

I'm not so sure I would say homosexual attraction isn't a sin in itself. The apostle Paul call this "vile affections" and certainly indicates they are sinful of themselves. If one repents and rejects them they can work to overcome these sinful attractions as part of the process known as sanctification. All Christians have sinful proclivities we must work to overcome but that doesn't mean you don't call them what they are.

Homosexuality cannot be reconciled with the teachings of our country anyway so any such Protestant Ministers need to go NOW and if they are not willing to go voluntarily, they should be fired.

The most probable pedophiles in order are:

Fathers
Teachers
Coaches
Protestant ministers

Priests are way down on the list.

So if a father is a teacher of mid-high history, coaches the girl’s basketball team and is a youth minister at his church on weekends/Sundays — watch out! He would be much more prone to pedophilia that any priest.

It should come as no surprise that one could substitute “Christian” or “Christianity” for “Jewish” or “Judaism” in more than 90% of that essay and it would read equally well.
