Yes we do. Abomination of Desolation = Barack Hussein Obama and the Democrats.
It has been said that Obama when he launched his democratic candidacy..those columns he stood in front of....was a replica of of the altar of Zeus.

Upon returning to the United States, he immediately commissioned the construction of a Greek-columned stage from which he made his acceptance speech for his party´s nomination. Because Greek temples such as those built to honor Zeus were thought to house the patron deity, the GOP ridiculed Obama, mocking him as playing Zeus of “Mount Olympus” and accusing his supporters of “kneeling” before the “Temple of Obama.” The New York Post ran an enlightening Convention Special supplement on August 28th, 2008 with the telling headline: ´O´ MY GOD: DEMS ERECT OBAMA TEMPLE blazoned across the front cover. This is standard Preterism. Does this represent the official position of the RCC? The RCC is Preterist?
Most Protestants see what happened in 70 AD as precursory. I see the image of the beast, Rev. 13, which hasn’t happened yet as Revelation describes it, as the ultimate fulfillment of the abomination of desolation.

That interpretation is not remotely consistent with the whole counsel of the whole of Scripture—not even the basic Scriptures about it—in context.
The Catholic Church does not have a single, mandated interpretation of the apocalyptic images of Scripture. Some commentators do take a mostly preterist position, many consider a future fulfilment to be more the point. There's a great deal of variety, with a tendency to, "Yes, this, and that, and that other thing, and maybe some more, and golly, who knows what-all between now and then. More wine, anyone?"
I don't believe Father Hardon, if asked, would have said that the past events exhausted the meaning of the Abomination of Desolation, but rather that those events were known applications of the prophecy, probably with others still to come.
He was a great man. I have his picture on the wall in my schoolroom.

You're right, and the history of Catholic Scripture commentary doesn't at all encourage an over-emphasis on the partial fulfillment of apocalyptic prophecy. I think Fr. Hardon was constrained by the format of this "dictionary" publication.
