Nancy Pelosi flunks Catechism class (again)

In a press conference today, so-called Catholic Nancy Pelosi said that she was praying to St. Joseph the Worker for the passage of health care. This was apropos, the speaker claimed, since today, March 19, is the feast of St. Joseph the Worker. Unfortunately, as with many other of her pronouncements about the Catholic Church, Pelosi is clueless. March 19th is the feast of St. Joseph Husband of Mary!

How ironic that Madame Pelosi should invoke a Saint to pass a bill (one that would expand abortion by 30%) who laid it all on the line to save the unborn Christ.

Pitiful

Saint Joseph also known as Joseph of the House of David, Joseph the Betrothed, or Joseph the Worker) is known from the New Testament as the husband of Mary, mother of Jesus.

There is a separate feast day for St. Joseph the Worker. It’s May 1st.

I'm almost certain that Nancy Pelosi does not have even one orthodox Catholic at the White House to check over her speeches for facts regarding a specific feast day. It's not that big of a deal, to me anyway, that she got the worker vs. the husband thing wrong. What's heinous, is that she's praying to the step-father of God for an abortion bill to pass. All her lies regarding the nuns was pretty mind boggling I guess (but not really for her; it's her MO).

Dante puts Pelosi in the "Sixth Circle," where "heretics are trapped in flaming tombs." She better hope that lots and lots of Catholics are praying for her, or that Dante had it all wrong. Pray for Our Nation; pray to Our Lord. And if you can stomach it, pray for Pelosi, Obama, and Biden, that they come out of darkness and into the Light.

Pope Pius XII established the new feast day of Saint Joseph the Worker on May 1 in 1955. May 1 is the Communist Labor Day and Pius wanted a Catholic alternative.

Somehow, invoking St. Joseph to help on a bill that will kill the unborn just seems...

a. wrong,
b. a waste of energy
c. foolhardy
d. evil
e. shows a lack of proper catechesis
f. all of the above.

True. But her mistake was minor, not like a “57 states” or other gaffs that are ignored by the media.
