Lord, You first stirred the hearts of patriots in Massachusetts over 235 years ago. You knew the country called the United States that You would create—a nation that has brought freedom to hundreds of millions and made life better for untold millions since then.
You blessed the land with bounty of every kind.
Now, we ask, in this time of darkness, that the flame of liberty be kindled by Your breath once again.
We commit the State of Massachusetts to You, for here a new generation of patriots will make a stand on Tuesday to create a new birth of freedom in America.
Only in Your power, Lord, and that we acknowledge.
