Exactly; Christ’s own sermon known as the “Olivet Discourse” is such; the misery associated with Christ’s sermon will be unbelievable. Christ states that it will be great sorrow for this with children. Sad but true.

I just put the TV on as Shep put that up.

Pat belongs to one of those religions in which
you Don’t have to be a college grad. and Don’t attend a 4 year seminary.
He is no more a Rev. than my cat.

“Go complain to God about killing the first born, since they were all “innocent”.”

If he doesn’t bring them back to life at the end of the world then that is exactly what I will do. I would then have nothing to do with him.

I can sort of understand why God would need to bring about the death of the first born but the idea of him wanting to do just because he feels vengeful is insane. Babies do not enslave Jews nor do they make pacts with Satan. Ridiculous.

Proving a negative is possible, it just makes for a poor argument in most situations. When the argument is based on faith, such is much easier; for example, the statement that those who fail to accept Christ will not go to heaven. This statement can be proved by references to the Bible and it is a negative. It requires faith, but that faith proves a negative.

Right, the obligatory “I don’t condone it, but...”. Not much different from what we hear from CAIR after a terrorist attack. It’s called rationalization.

Great post!

Sanity like this is severely lacking among the knee-jerk crowd on this thread.

But here again, we will never change their twisted way of thinking. We can only show a better alternative of thought.

This isn’t really about Pat per se, but...

...is it possible to say that a strong earthquake finished what Papa Doc and Baby Doc Duvavlier started in Haiti?

Your reference to second Peter proves nothing; this is a mere look into the heart of God—he does not want suffering to occur, but it will because of sin and judgment as shown throughout the Bible.

Pat the conservative Christian televangelist, philanthropist, fraudster, businessman, political dabbler, friend to murderous dictators worldwide, possessor of an amazing ability to insert his leg into his mouth clear past the knee.

Pat’s a strange mix.

Best to have a chuckle at his expense and move on.

What part of my post are you objecting to? You can either talk about this or keep throwing insults. I am a reasonable adult. Are you?

I don’t see that attititude at all. He is merely stating the facts. You are reading too much into it perhaps based upon your own biases and hatreds.

We’re not debating that Christianity makes stronger societies.

Rather, did God shake the Hispaniola fault because many Haitians practice voodou.

Yes suffering will occur because of our sin not because of God. Do you think that God caused this earthquake to punish Haiti for a pact with the devil?

Ya just never know - they certainly seem to be under some kind of curse for the last couple of centuries.

Just like the rest of Africa.

After he said that did he do his daily “financial advise” where people get out of severe debt by mailing him large sums of money?
