A psalm or part of one, sung or said between the readings at Mass and in the Divine Office.

Also known as the Responsorial Psalm. The Psalm is usually cantored (but can be read) and the parishioners answer with this response either in singing or spoken word, depending on how the Psalm is delivered.

The reading usually happens at Daily Masses for me.

The Psalm is read in our Spanish Mass, just a habit everyone got into before we really got the music going. Getting a full psalm sung is one of my goals; maybe we can start with Christmas Day!

We have a bit of confusion because some of our materials are from Mexico, some from Spain, and some from Puerto Rico, and there are differences in the way the Responsory is configured.
