It’s really very simple. When someone dies, we ask people to pray for them, right?

So this is a commeroration of the souls of the faithful departed.

At my church we are displaying pictures of family members who have died during this month. I’ve got to take mine off the wall and dust them. LOL!

OH - well - that is sort of what we have done for All Saints Day (in my past Church - Presbyterian) where we remembered those in the Church who had died the past year.

(Even though I know that All Saints Day is really about the “commuion of saints” as we say in the Apostle’s Creed...all those who have died “in the Lord” and those who belong to Him now - among the living.

Am sure it is a meaningful time in your church.
