No one ever tested the spirit that appeared to the three children. This would have been very easy to do, just by asking the simple question: "Can you tell me... what would the correct ignition timing be on a 1955 Bel Air Chevrolet, with a 327 cubic-inch engine and a four-barrel carburetor?"

The 327 V8 did not exist in 1955. The new engine available in 55 Chevy’s the 265 ci V8. Stock ignition timing was 0 degrees advance from top dead center.
