It also has a lot to do with the cult of Cybele and its assimilation into the Latin world centuries before Christ. Cato argued against including a shrine to Cybele in Rome, but he was voted down. Sadly.

>>Therefore, since so many Roman Catholics and popes believe Mary is a co-redeemer, it follows that there’s a very good chance the Vatican will declare that to be true.<<
The Pope on Co-redemptrix
Yet when asked, in a 2000 interview by Peter Seewald contained in the book God and the World, whether the Church would go along with the desire to solemnly define Mary as Co-redemptrix, Ratzingers response doesnt look good. He says that the title Co-redemptrix departs to too great an extent from the language of Scripture and of the Fathers and therefore gives rise to misunderstandings (53). He also says that for matters of faith, continuity of terminology with the language of Scripture and that of the Fathers is itself an essential element; it is improper simply to manipulate language (54).”
Thanks for your opinion, but it’s wrong.

Did you forget the part where the angel tells her she will bear the Son of God? No.
Her actions don't indicate she understood the enormity of what she was being told.
She isn't alone, the Apostles saw Jesus walk on water, perform countless miracles and 3 of them saw him transfigured yet they ran away, or denied Him. John is the only Apostle who stayed.
