Wish I had not missed this event, but I was at a Serra Club Conference in Spokane to support vocations to the priesthood and religious life.
BTW, I know a couple of the people mentioned in this article! Wow!

**The bishop urged listeners to turn to Mary,
who gave us Jesus as a light in a dark world. In our secularist society, we need to turn back to God, he said. Mary, the Mother of God, and Our Mother will show us the way and lead us back to her Son, our Lord.**

It sounds really wonderful. In our parish we just had a sparsely attended Holy Hour and Rosary on Sunday, "sponsored" (organized) by the lay Dominicans. On 10/7 it was pretty much business as usual except that after the morning and evening Mass roses were blessed and handed out. I got a nice deep red one, which I wore all through RCIA and then took home and put in a glass of water. It's still looking very fine today.
God is so generous to give us the Rosary, to hear the intercessions of the Blessed Mother, to allow us to enjoy little glimpses and foretastes of eternal communion.
