Clinton was an abberation. It was in Africa, for cripes sake. Anyone can get in line to get Holy Communion, The priest isn’t asking for proof.

Just cite church scripture, rules, etc that says it is okay for anyone to have Holy Communion.

It happens ALL the time. Does the priest ask for credentials from everyone? Probably not, but I would think that a faithful shepherd would know his flock. What good does it do have Scripture or rules it you don't live by them? Is the Roman Catholic Church suppose to have closed communion? Yes, it is suppose to observe closed communion, but it doesn't. I bet that ninety percent of my congregation has communed in the Roman Catholic Mass. I have couple of Roman Catholics that receive the Eucharist at my congregation. I don't like it, but they were receiving the Eucharist here long before I started. They know that they aren't suppose to receive the Eucharist in a Lutheran congregation, but they are your typical cafeteria Catholics. It is rare to find a Roman Catholic that won't receive the Eucharist in a non-Catholic church.
