From the definition then, some of these workers were the ones who restored the Michaelangelo frescoes. Am I reading that correctly?

I had sampetrini in my family...my dad’s uncle or something like that. But he was a stoneworker, not paintings or anything like that. At St. Peter’s my dad always proudly pointed out the part of the floor that he worked on. :)

LOL! My Dad is a construction worker and points out the areas he worked on at the local mall.

ha ha....awesome!

My brother and I traveled around Italy after college and we specifically made a trip to this obscure town to see a couple of towers that were built by our family about 700-800 years ago. To our surprise this town actually turned out to be something of a tourist mecca.

Then another surprise....we walked up to the towers in this poignant moment of descendants returning home to reclaim their birthright, and there, at the base of “our” towers, was a Benetton.

So the mall/St. Peter’s...it’s practically all the same anymore. :)
