Featured Term (selected at random):

TABGHA

A place two miles from Capernaum, Palestine, is the pilgrimage spot of Christ's miracle of the multiplication of loaves and fishes. An ancient basilica was excavated nearby where a large mosaic was recovered, picturing two fishes and three loaves in a basket. In the company of a Franciscan monk and an Orthodox priest Pope Paul, in 1964, on his way to the Sea of Galilee, visited Tabgha to see the mosaic set in the floor and blessed this hallowed shrine.

I corrected one spelling error in the entry, but missed the picturing. Maybe I should just put a (sic) besides them.

One of the children wanted the “loaves and fishes” on his (or her) First Communion banner. We found the Tabgha mosaic image on the internet, and Anoreth drew a duplicate and painted it.

She did a “Sea of Galilee boat,” the archaeological find, for either the same banner or a different one.

Nice! Always good to have an artist on staff.

Any word from the Coast Guardsman?

We finally heard from The Boy. He says boot camp is a cinch, easier than Master At Arms school. Don't know if he's talking tough or really means it. But as DH says, they haven't sent him home C.O.D. or in a body bag, so he must be doing all right. Only 22 days to go!

Not a word from SR Anoreth since she resumed regular training. I assume that means she’s really busy! She has 22 days to go, too.

My version of “artwork” uses a ruler and graph paper, so I have to delegate a lot! I believe Tom helped Pat make his banner, after I neatly painted his name on it.
