Unitarianism is more of a philosophy than a religion. It is an anti-religion religion and an extremely liberal cult. As with all liberal denominations, the only way that it can legitimize its existence is through political activism. Think of the Unitarians as a liberal book club that is in search of a purpose for existence.

Somewhere I saw this quote: “Unitarianism is a religion that believes in, at most, one god.”

"Think of the Unitarians as a liberal book club...." ...with a 501C3!
I sound pretty "intolerant" today, don't I?

Unitarianism is also an anti-humanist belief system. They find no value in any individual, not even themselves. Not too long ago there was a shooting at Unitarian church in Nashville TN. 2 was killed and 6 others shot. The prosecutor arranged for a plea bargain for the killer.
Several of the victims appeared to not want to bother to testify against the guy in any court hearing to say nothing of a trial.
Several of their members had to wrestle this guy to the ground to stop the shooting because, it seems, no one had bothered to arm himself to repel such an attacker.
