You said — I listened to the first hour and enjoyed it! Rhodes talks again about Russia and Iran. Walid Shoebat says rosh is in Turkey (Muslim)not Russia.

Yeah, there are Bible prophecy preachers/teachers who have slightly differing viewpoints of the end-times events — but are *still* in the same camp together — in terms of the broad interpretation principles and understanding how the Bible says what it does say.

I would really like for people to *get this idea* — mainly (below)...

One does see “other theologies” of Christian thought which will give you a different kind of “prophecy picture” — but — some of those will say that the Rapture doesn’t exist at all (stated from their perspective of their theology). And here (of course) we’re taking things from the standpoint that there *is* a Rapture (of either pre, mid, or pre-wrath type).

So, what it does *not pay to do* — is “mix and match” theologies on different subjects. Don’t take a theology that *dismisses the Rapture* and then proceed to use that theology for one’s own interpretation of prophecy, in general. That would be totally ludicrous — but — that’s what some people do, and they don’t even know that they’re doing it.

AND THUS, what I would say about the above teachers that you mention — it is not “mixing and matching” theologies, when you’re talking about those people above, even if they have differing views on Russia or Iran or the Mahdi (from Islam). They *are still* in the same “prophecy camp” although with differing interpretations within that camp. That’s okay to do, that way. BUT, to go completely “outside the camp” and get one’s own views from another theology (of Christianity) that *denies* the Rapture, and then one takes their “prophecy” from them — is simply *totally crazy* especially if one expects to maintain their position and belief on the Rapture... LOL...

First — know your theology — and then secondly, be consistent across-the-board, with your theology. (talking to everyone, not “you” of course...)

On my homepage, I put down the basic theology that I’m involved in, and which I explain, up above, that you basically can’t have even such a thing as the “Rapture” outside of that theology (I believe...). It’s pre-millennial, pre-tribulational, and dispensational (of course, here, we’re still discussing the three groupings of pre-trib, mid-trib and pre-wrath). And with that “categorization” that I’ve given, there is some “overlap” within the three descriptions.

Thanks Star Traveler, I am pretrib for sure and I understand the reasons to be careful with the rapture caucus.
