I never knew about the Cardinal ordering armbands for statues of Christ or the Virgin Mary. What a powerful statement and vivid reminder for all parishioners.

A very educational piece historically. It is also good to see the Church so forcefully contending for life and opposing Barak and his minions. Makes for some interesting chess.

Were Barry to succeed in forcing the hospitals to engage in this act, and the hospitals did close, the Church would not be able to, as the Cardinal threatened, force the government to build their own hospitals. The government would simply seize the Church’s hospitals.

How many times in history have we seen this ? The Church being told to obey the state or have its assets seized ? Every time it has happened it has been in the name of change and reformation.
