I, myself, don’t understand the trinity concept and don’t quite believe it. It seems an unimportant point to argue about though. I don’t see it significant whether you think jesus was the literal son of god or god himself. It has no effect on the rest of the bible’s meaning.
The goths and the romans sure hated each other though. People will make up the silliest excuses to hate each other.
That is where you are significantly wrong. The Person, Nature and Work of God and accordingly Jesus are the foundation that all the rest of the understanding of the bible is hinged upon. If you believe that Jesus is just another God among other gods - you have a polytheistic interpretation overlaid upon the bible and must ignore the bible's clear monotheistic (one God in existence) teachings.

The Goths, being Arian, and the Romans Trinitarian, you would think Christianity would be Arian today, but it was the Goths that converted to Trinitarian beliefs.
