Faith cannot come UNTIL you hear the word. This ONLY happens when God puts someone there for you to hear from. So it all comes from God, and not of yourself. On this we can agree, however, it still does not remove the responsibility of the sinner to obey god and believe the gospel as John states in the following scripture:

John 3:15 (Whole Chapter)

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

John 3:16 (Whole Chapter)

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

There is always a personal choice involved.

God is a fair and impartial, but loving, God.

He does not blithely give advantages to one soul over another.

We both as sinners and as born-again sinners will have a choice every day of our lives to either believe God or not to believe God. This is how God measures are obedience and rewards us. This comes straight from the mouth of Jesus as the scriptures I have posted on this thread show.

This is the one failing of Calvinism is that it removes the choice from the individual and removes the glory of the creator’s creation.

Once you are regenerated, you can believe. No problem with that. In fact, I will state that, once you are regenerated, you WILL believe.

Those in whom the Holy Spirit has already worked.
