O God in heaven, with you by our side we should never be afraid. And as long as our eyes are fixed upward we can move forward to the place that you want us to go. Teach us to walk in your light so that we may not grope about in the darkness. May your word permeate our souls that we may stand firm when we are put through the fire. May our lives glorify you, our Savior and our God.

Father, be with our President as he is abroad. Give him soundness in speech, so that his words may be effectual. Teach him to obey you Lord and empower him to do his best so that he can challenge others to do their best. Guide his heart that he may have a closer walk with you. Lord be with our troops as they fight for freedom. They give so much of themselves and risk so much so that we can be free. Bless them and their families for the sacrifices that they make. And may they know that there are countless people who think of them as true American heroes. We ask these things in Jesus name, amen.
