Actually, there are quite a few of us in the geek realm who are also Christians.

But in some churches, that community support may be lacking, especially if the techie individual is unmarried or far from family.
This is one thing that I run into. Since my job moves me about ever 4 years, it is sometimes difficult to form community with the church, especially for people who get intense talking about their job. I am blessed that I am now in a bible study (24 months) that in letting me form closer relations with people in my church.
