Vatican mapping miracles by Mother Teresa

A TEAM from the Vatican is travelling across the country and various parts of the world, noting miracles said to have happened through the intercession of Mother Teresa.

Vice president of the Catholic Association of Bengal (CAB) Maria Fernandes said the Vatican team is visiting each of the places from where miracles have been reported.

“They are listing these as bona fide miracles only after scientifically analysing them. There are many who have given testimonies about miracles and favours received through the intercession of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta,” she said.

“Nearly four years have passed since the Beatification of Mother Teresa, which earned her the title of ‘Blessed’ but she has been a living ‘saint’ to millions across the world.”

“Sainthood to Mother Teresa is not far away as many miracles are happening through her intervention,” said CAB president Eugene Gonsalves.

Meanwhile, the CAB, the Archdiocese of Kolkata and the Missionaries of Charity are jointly co-memorating her 10th death anniversary with a series of programmes which began on August 23. “We have lined up three-week-long series of programmes to celebrate the life and work of Mother Teresa. Besides various cultural programmes and prayer services, September 10 will be commemorated as ‘Inspiration Day’,” Fernandes said.

The association’s vice president added that they have dedicated this year to Mother Teresa.

Shortly after her death, I asked her to help me help two people. I was never able to help two people with terrible problems so quickly and effectively, before or since. There is no doubt in my mind, Mother heard my request. Of course it can’t be scientifically verified. But sometimes one doesn’t need scientific verification.

If you are mapping miracles, you need to look about 5 or 6 miles west of Downtown LA on Wilshire:

The signs are all there.

I miss Mother Theresa. I found it comforting having a living saint among us, but now she is praying for us.

No “h” in Teresa. Two different people.

Exactly. We've experienced what I am sure are the results of the intercession of Father McGivney, founder of the Knights of Columbus. Faith doesn't need "scientific" verification!

“There are others, not all get her press.”

And sadly Mother Teresa doesn’t get the press that other well-known people get, who haven’t done all the good that she has done.
